I was reared in a farmhouse built by my father in the little community of Herman Junction in Craighead County, Arkansas. I attended school at Bay and there met my childhood sweetheart, Barbara Earls, who would later become my wife in 1958. Barbara and I both became Christians in our early teens. I began preaching fulltime in 1959 and since that time we have served churches of Christ in Arkansas, Michigan, Indiana, Missouri, and Oklahoma. I served as an elder in the church at Greenbrier, Arkansas for 10 years. In 1991 we transitioned from local ministry to fulltime evangelism. Since then we have traveled over most of the United States conducting gospel meetings, workshops, seminars, and special programs for ladies. Since 1995 we have worked closely with congregations in the eastern European country of Romania. We have made our home in Conway, Arkansas since 1975. Our growing family includes two children and their spouses, three grandchildren and their spouses, and six great-grandchildren.
